Cherry S'mores Recipe


Kids and adults will love making this Cherry S'mores recipe. These ooey, gooey, oh so sticky sweet treats will have everyone jumping for joy.

This recipe is safe for kids to make themselves as there is no campfire required. Instead the chocolate and marshmallow are melted using the microwave. By adding some dried tart cherries this dessert recipe has a tart twist to a traditional favorite.

Cherry S'mores Recipe

This is a tasty twist on an old time favorite. No campfire required for this dessert recipe, so you can make it anytime, even in the winter. Have kids can make these for mom on Mother's Day. Of course they may gobble these down before mom ever gets her share.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup marshmallow creme
  • 1/2 cup dried tart cherries
  • 1/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 12 graham cracker squares (2 inch squares)

Directions

  1. Put marshmallow creme, cherries and chocolate chips in a medium bowl; mix well.
  2. Place 6 of the graham crackers on a microwave-safe plate. Spoon a heaping tablespoon of marshmallow mixture on each cracker.
  3. Top with remaining crackers.
  4. Microwave, uncovered, on High (100% power) 30 to 45 seconds, or until marshmallow mixture is soft and warm.
  5. Carefully remove plate from the microwave and set on a hot pad.
  6. Let S'mores cool slightly before eating them.
