Try these healthy recipes as an alternative to ice cream.  These frozen treats are a healthy way to satisfy the sweet tooth.  

Frozen Strawberry Banana Treat

This blast of strawberry and banana flavored frozen dessert is a great way to beat the summer heat.  And at just 84 calories a serving, this is a great healthy recipe for anytime of the day.

Ingredients
  • 1 cup plain low fat yogurt
  • 1 cup strawberries (frozen or fresh)
  • 1 banana
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
Directions
  • Blend in all ingredients in blender or food processor
  • Scoop into four containers and freeze
  • Remove from freezer and serve
It's that easy!

Alternative:  Replace strawberries with mixed berries for a blast of berry taste.
